Farya is a highly accomplished Senior Counselling Psychologist with over 12 years experience helping individuals and couples overcoming wide range of difficulties.
Farya utilizes her expertise in both psychology and psychotherapy. She enables clients to understanding what is keeping them stuck and how to utilize interactive strategies and tools to develop the skills required, to overcome difficulties in new and more effective ways.
Farya adopts a proactive approach to helping clients discover new ways of understanding problem areas. Upon the platform of better understanding, Farya helps clients to build and utilize strategies and tools, which can enable them to deal with and overcome problematic issues, in more effective and lasting ways.
Farya helps both individuals and couples address a wide range of issues including: relationship difficulties, trauma and PTSD, abuse, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, phobias, addiction, bereavement and loss, anger management, career/work issues, bipolar and borderline personality disorders, self esteem, OCD, separation and divorce. Farya has gained considerable clinical experience in number of settings including private practice, NHS and charity sector counselling services. Farya has written and delivered courses and workshops on anger management, trauma, anxiety and relationships. She has managed a number of counselling services and clinics overseeing the clinical work of other therapists.
She is an experienced clinical supervisor providing support and guidance to other psychotherapists and psychologists, both qualified and in training.
Farya is a chartered counselling Psychologist and an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society. She is fully trained to apply different models of therapy based on the client’s needs. These models include Psychodynamic therapy, Person centered Therapy and Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and integrative therapy.
Farya is a registered member of the HCPC and the BPS.
Farya is trained in different modalities which means her work is integrated and tailored to the needs of every individuals.Regardless of techniques being used based on the client’s needs, she strongly believes that the therapeutic relationship plays a major role in helping the clients face their fears and their anger in order to integrate splits off parts so that they feel more integrated in themselves and free themselves from their past experiences.
Finally based on her personal as well as my academic and professional knowledge and experiences, she knows and believes that regardless of where you are at in your life change is always possible given the right context and therapeutic work.
